Default Proof - they still crop up occasionally

This appears to be "one of those cars"

I have been approached by a trader in Bournmouth who has taken in a Redline - recognising it as better than average he would like enthusiasts to get first crack. (I have spoken at length with him and he is perfectly
realistic about values).

'F' Redline, one family car, (2 owners), garaged all it's life, dry stored off road for last 6 years, less than 5k recorded miles.
No history has been found but condition suggests mileage may well be true.

Stuart would prefer to be contacted by e-mail stuartheasman@aol.co.uk but in extremis may be reachedon 07554 402230

Stuart would be happy to arrange to sell with a new MOT.

Looking at the condition (rad expansion tank, interior etc.) I would have to
say this really looks to be of interest.

What does redline mean? I assume it has something to do with the red pinstripe on the exterior and the seats (higher spec trim?)
Anyway it looks mint and is definitely worth a bit.

The redline was one of the specials.

1.7 only, red pin stripe seats and red strip in bumber

Lots of other specials incuding the blueline - have search on V3M for more

Hi,

Does anyone have any idea what this is worth...it's a long time since I owned a 360...too long in fact - ok I know this is a 340

I need something to keep my v70 company.

I have emailed the seller to see what he is asking

Cheers Rob

Been doing a little digging and have found a little of this cars history.

Still no V5C or service book but VCUK lists a Volvo Dealer history up until up until July 2003 at which the mileage was 1,516. (thereafter the car left the franchise).
The bad news is that the speedometer was changed at it's service in July 2002 at which Volvo recorded the mileage as 53,029. in July 2001 mileage was 50,488 and in July 2000 it was 48,051.
Looks like it averaged about 3,500 a year until the speedo failed and 4,870
since (with much time off the road) which is all pretty consistant for "elderly owners"
The above is much more believable (and likely) than a real 5000 miler.

In reality of course, below 60K on a car of it's age is still low mileage, and quite plainly it has a history of regular services even to the extent of remaining within the franchise for 16 years.

Regardless of this it seems to be in super order and I have arranged to view it next Saturday. I have no intention of getting into a bidding war with anybody
but I feel that if it is a good as it looks (IF) it is important for it to find a home within the enthusiast community and if necessary I'll buy it to save it!

However if any one wishes to negotiate with the seller (xentronic) they will NOT be treading on my toes.

I want to buy a large field and fill it with elderly 340's just peacefully seeing their days out.

Bit like a donkey sanctuary, I guess.
