Took it in today, nice chap served me turned the car around in about half anf hour, they took it for a drive, reset the fault code and said see how it goes over the next few weeks.

For info he told me its the clutch position sensor that sent the warning on the dash. Does he mean brake position sensor?

Default Fixed!!!!!

Righto,

Sorry for the delay, engine system service required message now gone, how come... well...

Got the part form swindon volvo (very nice chap), we ordered a clutch position sensor (which was actually a ford part on mine, but a volvo part replacement), the sensor is out of sight and hard to reach (right at the top of the clutch pedal).

Easy install, cruise control now works fine (1 month now), and the engine service light has now dissapeared (last week).

Fingers crossed its fixed for £22 (cost of the part)

So if you have the message come up on your dash, the car runs and starts fine but the cruise control works when it wants to then this is the fix!

Nathan

PS: Volvo swansea got me the part theyre pinned in one of the threads.
