Volvo V40 1.9D SE diesel leak
Hi guys, new to the site.
I'm not very hands on when it comes to cars so could do with some help. Got a V40 1.9D SE on the cheap, been fine apart from a few niggles but one problem has stumped me. I have noticed diesel leaking from this particular area squared in red (see picture attached). Seems like it's either dripping out of the plastic connecting part or around the metal part which has a copper washer in there. Can somebody please tell me what this part is, what it does and why it could be leaking. Any help would be muchly appreciated. Thanks Mark |

That is the fuel return pipe. It might be that the small rubber seal in there is either damaged, perished or is missing. Volvo recommends you use a new one every time you remove it anyway.
Best option would be to order a new one from Rufe http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showpo...&postcount=368
