A wow turn of phrase sir.

The 240 is beginning to rise in price.

There are some very clean 700s around that will join that ascension.

Varient!!!!! .................

I parted with my Maxi writing the receipt as Sold As Scrap, when I bought my first Volvo, a T reg 244. I should never have sold that 244. The Maxi was incredibly tired and invisible but had served me very very very well indeed. A stolidly determined 1500 engine. Almost drove itself. Practicality that was "ideal for a man about to start a family".

The 245 will carry a single bed inside. The Maxi was two singles or one double bed inside depending on how one, utilised it.

I tried John, and thanks for the sentiment.

It is interesting, my '88 245DL is being restored for my daughter to use when she needs, she doesn't live at home but it's the only car that she can get her Harp in - won't fit in the 745 !

Won't be her everyday, she's working oveseas.

That is the ultimate and iconic objective test betwixt 740 and 240 ... but I won't harp on about it.
