Default Steering nosie

Hi, just about to take in my XC70 for it's 3 month check and wondered if anyone else has noticed weird noises coming from the steering at low or no speed, especially if you are using full lock ?? - It sounds like it's jumping rather than the wheels touching the arches or the power steetring straining.

Also just because I wish I'd put it on when I bought the car but can the auto boot opening be retro fitted ??

Thanks

Have you checked the power steering level, and the tank for any leaks?

Thanks for the reply, Yes I have, it seems to be a juddering, whirring noise only happens at zero or low speed <10 mph and feels like the wheels jump of the surface of the road, no where else.

It's the only thing wrong with the car and probably the best volvo I have owned.

I have not noticed this on my car... would certainly get it checked with the dealer.

Which tyre pressure do you use, I had to put quite a bit of air in mine after delivery.

I would not expect that fitting the auto door as something very economic.. I can imagine it is possible to do it.. but would require a lot of work and a shame to be pulling a new car apart..
