Default rear ashtray bulb?

hi all, do you know where i can get a replacemant bulb for the rear ashtray? is really volvo only or can i get it from somewhere else?

Hi,

the way it fits in you would need one of a similar diamater, but basically you could select any suitable small 12V car bulb and make it work I guess. May even be worth considering replacing with an LED and resistor setup, as it's a pain to get to next time it blows.

I'm reasonably certain it's the same bulb type as the cigar lighter in the front, maybe someone can confirm.

I might leave mine, the nipper has a habit of kicking the unit and now the whole units fallen out altogether, Grrrr.
But unless you've got an after dark smoker in the back, is it worth the aggro?

mine's the bulb fixed in the a holder with spade style connections all the american websites do them, but really want bugger about with exchange rates etc. i had thought about using universal led side repeaters that would work, could even replace the glove box light as well! but would prefer the orginal is it volvo dealer only?
yeah as it lights up the centre storage box and illuminate's some of the floor.
