Default XC60 : sunroof & headroom

I have specced my new XC60 with the panoramic tilt n slide sunroof – very nice.

But I have not sat in/driven a car with the sunroof – and my local dealers don’t have one knocking around.

Is there a kind soul out there who can advise me how much headroom is lost due to having the sunroof fitted. I’m a lanky 6’2” and want to ensure that the sunroof does not encroach too much into the available head room.

Many thanks

My guess is zero headroom is lost as it is above the height of the standard roof lining plus higher than the standard reading lights fitting. The car does seem to have a lot of headroom as well.

Note only the front half tilts and opens, it opens over the back half so at most the open section is the size of the front half. An electronic sun screen (fabric) is present. It is open and closed using button and draws accross roof to cut out bright sunlight (it is slightly see through).

Glass is dark tinted same as rear tinted windows. Makes the car much lighter and airy I think. Definitely a good option to get.
