Do you have finally found the solution to the defects 2505 2503?
because I have the same on my car, idling my car is unstable, and sometimes the engine stops in the traffic jam.

thank you to tell me if you have found the solution.

thank you for the answers.

So the problem was the pump injection?
The one in the tank, or the high pressure pump injectors by side?

I have another question, is what you know of any web address that sell parts for our Volvos. New parts or used regardless.
Because in France it is difficult to obtain cheap parts for our Volvos.

thank you : Thumbs_up:

What problem are you having ? Five years on from when this thread started the price of Vida/Dice has dropped down a lot , I would recommend connecting diagnostic kit and advising fault codes and live data. Have you tested the injectors for leak back etc ?

Default Anyone have a full resolution for this problem?

I have a 2004 V70 D5 with 190,000 miles with the exact same problem described in the original post.

I've taken it to the local indie Volvo specialists who tell me it's 'probably' a problem on the mechanical side of the fuel system - i.e either the pipes, the intank pump or the fuel injection pump.

The electrical side and injectors themselves came up all fine on the computer - the error code reads 'fuel pressure low'.

There are a couple of posts about of people with the same problem on the same engine and vehicle but I just wanted to check whether anybody knew whether the fuel injection pump actually is the issue.

I say this as the garage says that they never have to replace either the fuel injection pump nor the intank pump which leaves me in a difficult position as something is definitely wrong but no one can tell me what it is!

Has anybody else had the same problem and found a fix?

Which is more likely - the intank pump or the fuel injection pump?

The car runs fine along the motorway and I really love it otherwise, but I can't rely on it at the moment and above all it has to be reliable.

Any help appreciated and thanks in advance.
