I can't see why a GROM wouldn't work on your HU650. I have fitted one in a 2007 S60 with a HU850, it just plugs into the external CD Changer port on the back of the unit. What year is your S60 ?

I have just fitted a blue tooth version of the grom unit to my facelift s60 with hu850.
Works perfectly. Very easy to fit, just remove gear stick trim, undo 2 bolts from bottom of stereo and pull out and down. Then plug in all the wires as in the instructions supplied with it. Put it all back together and bosh. Just set stereo to "10 cd changer" and the grom unit pretends its a changer. With the bluetooth version I am able to stream all music, video sound etc from all apps from my android phone wirelessly at great quality. I can also use the steering wheel controls to skip tracks, and answer calls. Ipod one may have skip track functionality too. |

It's deffo the hu850 now check in day light. I've used connects 2kits before so I know what like. Has anyone fitted one to the hu850. Grom unit looks good but complicated for me and all I want really is link for iPod to radio and to control tracks on radio so safer.
