I put some in mine a while back to help with the seal leaks. It did that, but then a while later I noticed that there was a load of gunk up by my bulkhead. I couldn't work out what it was..then I realised it was the Penrite grease which had been pushed up the hollow steering arm and which had fallen out. Maybe I put too much in...probably, knowing me.

Do both of your steering boxes have the central pipe that allows the wire for the horn through the entire steering box and column (like on my PV)?

If so I'm surprised the Penrite got that far up.

How fluid is this stuff? Is it more like a gel than a liquid?

(Yep I still haven't ordered any for myself yet)

It is more like a gel, yes. I was surprised too.

The way I put it in the steering boxes is I put some in a funnel and use a large screwdriver almost the same diameter as the funnel end to push it down out of the funnel.

Mine is in an old washing up liquid bottle and I filled it to about 1 - 1.5cm from the bottom of the thread

Just wondering, how about mixing a bit of gear oil with some grease, say in a jam jar, and using that. Especially if you have some left overs.

That would be a little bit like lubrication roulette wouldn't it?

Early days, 200 miles in and it seems to be working fine..no noticeable difference to the steering at all. will keep the thread going as I go along.
