Exactly right. The SRS warning is a flag that stays on until it is reset once an error condition is detected. Simply fixing the problem is not enough. Trivial with VIDA/DICE or an SRS capable OBD reader, impossible without.

Thanks for that. Yes, the "garagiste" connected his "valise", found the fault, pressed some buttons "et voila" a clean bill of health. best wishes derek Last edited by Dereletoile; Nov 30th, 2018 at 17:04. Reason: didn't quote hint source |

I have a very similar issue ...and a post about it on this site. I had low crank volts on my battery when I bought the car and "waited" to replace it. Odd thing was after I replaced the battery...all was fine...and THE NEXT DAY it throws the CFFF code. Go figure. but I need to send the module to CrashData. I think they basically re-flash corrupted software in the module because I have a good reader. It's not VIDA-DICE ...but it's iCarsoft vol II specifically for Volvo and Saab and I can clear several SRS "soft codes"...but that damn CFFF code is a "hard code" and I get the "failed module" read and it won't let you clear it until the "issue" that caused it is resolved.

Mine had same warning lights on, starter motor was worn and drawing excess current from battery, eventually leading to new battery, starter and module sent away to crashdata.co.uk for repair. Make sure battery is disconnected before refitting repaired unit. Wires and pins at this unit are very small so make sure plugs are straight and square to the unit before pushing in.
