Just to clarify, this is the release fork, its not the type held on with a clip, it just pushes onto the ball fitted to the bell housing, you can see the back of the plastic/fibre insert through the square hole.

I'm new to this but the parts manual for my PV only shows the clip variety - VP autoparts and Skandix diagrams show just the clip variety don't they. Are you sure it is a "slip on" configuration?

Can we see a pic of the other side where the ball fits? It certainly won't fit in the side shown.
