Default XC60 AWD New tyres

I have a 2013 xc60 2.4 D5 AWD. It currently has Hankook Dynapro HP2 all round. The fronts are pretty worn but there is lots of tread left in the rears. I wanted to get Michelin crossclimate's fitted but only on the front for now as there is still so much tread left on the rears. Will this be ok or will it cause problems?

If it's the tyre that I'm thinking of then the HP2 is a M&S/All Season variant? It should be okay with the Michi's but for a number of reasons the advice now is to put the new pair to the rear (i.e. rotate the current rears to the front). You will find this documented in the owners manual.

If you are asking from the point of view of will if affect the AWD system - there is no issue here whatsoever, all post 2003 MY haldex equipped Volvo AWD models are not susceptible to different size/levels of wear tyres (despite what some tyre companies and national fitting chains will bullsh*t you with).
