Default 2004 V70 2.4D No Start (Im new to forums)

After our v70 2.4 petrol was vandalised ( 6 windows smashed ) and the insurance said they may write it off so i bought a none runner locally 2004 v70 d5 thinking i would salvage the parts i need if they decided the would not repair it . Insurance now replacing the glass with my windscreen cover so im now having a go at getting the none runner on the road

It was listed as an injector problem . We i went to look at it i was told injector was loose due to threads damaged .

I didnt fancy helicoiling it myself so got a company out to do it , 100% success

New copper washer , clamp seal etc put it back in and it fired straight up .

injector looked to be a bit battered but once i knew the car actually ran i can go from there

It was running rough not miss firing but a lumpy idle ,it was leaking on another injector seal but other than that all seemed ok (ish)

I had it stopped . started and running for about 40 mins

Plugged it in to snap on diag machine massive list of codes as expected but no codes for the engine

The other injector was leaked badly so blew all the excess fuel away with the airline so i could make sure nothing else was leaking

whislt the engine was running I gave the injectors a spray of some elbow grease cleaner i had just to see if there was any more bubbles coming from the other injectors and when i sprayed in on the injector that had just had the threads repairs it cut out .

Its not started again since .

From what i can make out There seems to be no fuel to the rail at all

It was showing just under 1/4 of a tank of fuel so put about 8 litres that had i just to make sure it hadn't just ran out at the exact moment i was checking for injector leaks

Ive plugged it back in . no fault codes , no fuses blown .

Ive undone the nut with the ball bearing in on the pump and seem to have fuel to that point .

Where do i look next ??

Is 8 litres enough if it has run out of fuel ?

Thanks Russ

for best results make sure the car is on level ground as v70 have a saddle tank and fuel can struggle to get over a new fuel filter is also a cheap option to try if its unknown when it was last changed a diagnostic scan could help track down any other problems.there are a couple of yorkshire volvo facebook groups you could join to find some local enthusiasts most groups have some members who have vida dice diagnostics.

I have moved it since i first started it and my drive does slope slightly backwards away from the road so the back of the car is a bit lower than the front . Ill put a few more jerry cans of fuel in and see if i have any luck .Thanks
