Default interior lights.

This is my first post on the forum so I hope I do things right.
I recently bought a 2010 V70 D5 and everything is great except for one niggle.
only the footwell and cargo space lights work when they should do.
Rear passenger, driver and passenger reading lights and the vanity mirror lights do not work. The overhead switches have no effect.
I have checked the fuses which the handbook says controls interior lighting and all OK. Bulbs are OK and the printed circuits in the overhead binnacle looks clean.
Is there a relay somewhere I can check / change or could they have been disabled in some way by the previous owner.
I bought the car from a car supermarket and it is 165 miles away.
The car is ex lease with full main dealer history and this is the only problem.

Hi get in touch with the dealer you bought the car from . They may let you take it to a local dealer to get it sorted. My son had a similar experience a month or so ago and the dealer let a local Volvo agent fix it and they settled the billl. They should be responsible for all repairs for three months.. Speak to them and see what they suggest.

First check the menu onthe computer ,instructions are in the drivers manual. I believe you can alter what interior light and how they work on that. If no joy get in touch with the dealer you bought the car from . They may let you take it to a local dealer to get it sorted. Thanks for the replies Model Flyer.
I've had the car just over 3 months. Been moving house in between times so put up with the problem. Had so much wrangling to get a deal on my part ex against the Volvo I doubt I would have got anywhere.
Looked in the computer menu and it is just things like 'See you home' light timings. Just thought it would be a hard to find fuse or relay to change.
Volvo recommends dealer changes blown reversing or fog lamp bulbs in the tailgate which looks like a couple of screws on the trim and some clips to be removed not a dealer job. 1/2 hour with basic tools and correct bulbs.
I hope this problem does not turn into a nightmare.
I owned Landrovers for years and a couple of exotic 4x4s. The Defenders and Series Landys I did myself but the exotics went to the dealers. I hoped I had got past that with my Volvo. This is my first one and I rate it very highly.
