Default Code 00F5

Hi

I have volvo v70 awd 2,5t year 2005.

Now there is text srs-airbag, service needed asap.

I have china copy errorcode reader.
It gives code 00F5 front left belt buckle signal incorrect, permanent.

I can erase it but it comes back about 3 minutes after starting car.

Any ideas?

Second thing

I have measured that battery voltage is 12,2 - 12,4 V when car not running. But when i look through OBD it shouws about 11,3 V. How is that possibly? When car is running battery is about 13,5 ftom battery. Have not yet looked from obd.

Can battery on charger be the problem?

I have changed belt buckle and wires. No changes...

Sauli

when you look through obd all the cars engine controls and modules are live and drawing power I would say your battery is near the end of its life and low voltages can cause all kinds of spurious messages check the wire to the seat belt buckle and the plugs under the seat disconnect the battery before removing any plugs try a known good battery and re scan for codes

good news that you solved it but i still think your battery voltages are low 24 hours on a battery optimiser may help it recover.
