Default PCV on 1999 2 litre auto N/A

I've checked my breather system, but there doesn't seem to be one of these flame traps under inlet manifold. Have they done away with it on this model?
One small hose runs from drivers side of inlet manifold inside a protective hose with a larger hose which looks like it comes from the block below manifold, and both join elbow near inlet. A bit confused about which parts to replace. Is it just the hoses and the plastic elbow joint?
Thx

If you're looking from above the engine you can't see the PCV - it's hidden very well. You can only just see it from under the manifold.

Not sure about your engine though but the 2.4 20V definitely has one.

All the pictures I've seen show a black plastic box near the dipstick, but I can't see it. I've been under the car, had my hand down in the engine. Its hardly a thing I think you would miss.
I guess I'll take the manifold off and see what's happening.

Ah ok, if you've seen pictures of it and you know what you're looking for and it's not there then perhaps your engine doesn't have one.

Thats all I can say really - I drive a volvo powered renault not a volvo so I can only comment on the 2.4 20v engine really.

You will need to remove the inlet manifold to see it...

For info purposes, those who have a leaky RMS and had replace the PCV system try some Forte
