Accelerator cable for LHD 460

Hi all,
Anybody know how I can get hold of an accelerator cable for a 1992 LHD 460 please? Mine snapped a couple of weeks ago while travelling up the M1 in the fast lane. Frightening experience. Thanks.

is the accelerator cable the same as the 480 cable ?

if so I have a spare

I think you might need to order one from Sweden.

Many years ago we were in Sweden with our (RHD) 1.7 340. On the day that we were due to return, we had the same problem - but on start-up. The Volvo garage in Dingle that recovered us had the LHD part in stock, but not the (longer) RHD one. They had to order one from Goteburg and we were OTR for several days.

The upside was that we enjoyed an extra few days holiday courtesy of the AA 5* insurance!
