Give those manifolds a miss, they're a cheap chinese joke. They crack, and the manifold-to-head flange is welded on back-to-front so you have to cut it off, flip it and and re-weld it before it will actually fit.

Yeah I've heard a few bad things about those manifolds.

So it's looking like there's about 7 accounted for so far?

Mine
Bryns (Suterman's old one)
Chesh has built 2 I think?
Dai's dads
2 random ones on Ebay

Any more that are known of?

I've never seen any other mention of it, so there's probably a few unknown turbos lurking out there.
I remember that one! White with lots of max power body kits bit stuck on it. Truly hideous.

I am currently building a 240 estate turbo that will be done by the end of the month. Only a 2.0 one for now as I got the donor car for £100 I will throw a 2.3 in if one comes up cheap.

There was a 244 on Drifworks/Gumtree not long ago, factory black paint with early style banded steels in mint green IIRC, however i don't think it was a true turbo conversion, it just had a turbo stuck on the stock motor.

Did anyone spot the advert on Gumtree about 2-3weeks ago, the guy has a RHD 242GT Aussie Import, aswell as a Bertone Coupe and the 6cylinder 200 whatever code that was, i wish i'd saved the advert now.

I'm in the one day club, one day i will join in, it's just finding the donor car!

Converted using the genuine Volvo turbocharger kit intended for the 240. I'd say that definitely counts!

Im currently searching for a good base 240 saloon for turbo conversion.

Looking for a 2.3 GLT 90-93 with sensible mileage, hopefully a 50k garage find (got post going in wanted ads).

This will be my daily & first volvo, always been into VW group stuff but want to get Into Retro stuff.

Had 1967 beetle with 2 litre engine build & Nitrous (good fun in straight line)
Mk3 golf GTI 16v
Scooby (opps)
Skoda fabia VRS

Currently have 1967 series 2a landy with hot v8 conversion and my daily Audi A3 sline (selling to replace with 240).

Plenty of post 90 GLT's on ebay but all estates.

Looking to source car, sort any bits & lpg whilst searching for good 230ft donor car.

I have other (non volvo) engine conversions under my belt, so all being well i should be joining club next year.

Regards

Simon

Well done to those already with 240 turbos & goodluck to those currently building.

Thanks in advance for help during conversion
