Default Whistling?

Hi there I have a whistling sound at roughly 40 mph when accelerating there is plenty of power and it pulls well sorry it's a 03 s60 d5 172000 miles it only started doing it yesterday after it had a new n/s driveshaft fitted could they have knocked something or is it just coincidence just seeing before I take it back thanks a lot

It's possible that something's been dislodged between the air filter box and the turbo, that would cause an audible whistle.

would be checking for all kinds of air leaks, hole in cooler lol
also check the steering colum boot down by the pedal as youd be able to hear the turbo more in cabin...

I will have a look around tomorrow but hoping something has being knocked as it was fine before having the driveshaft replaced thanks for the reply

Hi I was getting this and it was a boost pressure leak from the bottom pipe from the plastic pipe to the intercooler,it needed the pipe cleaning and I fitted a new clip as the fitted one would not do up

Thanks for the replys I have had a good look around and everything is as it should be and is on tight I got the wife to rev the engine and couldn't hear any air leaking or hissing I will get the garage to check it to make sure nothing got touched when doing the drive shaft

would been nice to have some photos of the pipe .was it split or was it just the clip broke.also looking at the engine with the bonnet open what side would it be thanks

Hi the worm drive on the cllp was all stiff,
The pipe is the one that fits to the pipe that runs under the engine
As you look at the engine from the front of the car
