If you want a new unit suggest you try Brookhouse Volvo 01473 218806 or Braydon motor co.02089852255 both may be able to help with New/used units. Or try Simon Ward who details are in Driver as a director.
feel free to ring me if I can help

Annette - I sent you a PM re the used servo I have, if still interested.

Gogs - please tell me more about your master cylinder, as I may need one for my 142, which hasn't yet emerged after its refurb from a 25 year rest!

This thread has been long dormant despite urgency implied at the beginning: it would be nice to have had feedback....

Here's mine: after trying all the known Volvo spares outlets (in the UK, Sweden and the USA even) I gather master cylinder repair kit #273076 is no longer available. This is listed for cars pre 1972. The only one available is #273226, being for post '72 cars. However, replacement cylinders are available, at about £90, from the usual sources.

However, I have just been told that an ebay trade seller in the west of England can supply a kit for the earlier cars for about £25, so being somewhat frugal my order is being processed right now.... I'll keep you posted as to its success, as I've just fitted my spare cylinder/servo, so thats no longer available to the original wanter now - tough.

Citizen A: if there is ever a response re cylinder offered, as its for a newer car than mine, its yours if offered!

What-ho Paul.

My car is 1971 so I think I'd rather know a little bit more about the segment (above) in red, please!

Regards, Nick H.

Default Volvo master cylinder

The continuing saga....

After an assurance from a west-country dealer that he can supply a seal kit, I've now been asked for close-up photo's of mine cos he's now not so sure!

If still uncertain, I'll mail him my worn seals so he has them in the flesh, but at this point in time, its not looking too hopeful. He doubts my measurements but of course, squashing a rubber seal with a micrometer distorts it somewhat!

Fingers crossed though: will keep informed.
