Default 2005 windshield washer jet/nozzle not working driver side)

Hello -

The driver side washer jet/nozzle stopped working recently.. wanted to check if i have missed anything.

I have done the below so far:
- check piping, seems to be okay
- replaced the T-piece as the bottom piece has fallen out on the old one
- poked the nozzle with pin and soaked overnight with white vinegar (able to blow air out with mouth)

After the above, some water seems to come out from the nozzle very slowly onto the bonnet only. I have tried to hold the control stick and let the washer to jet out the water for a "long period" of time (about 10 - 15 seconds each time), but water still comes out softly.....

Currently:
- both headlight washer works
- passenger side front washer works (& powerful)
- rear washer works (& powerful)

So, what do you think the problem maybe?
- Do you think it is the water pump/motor for the front windshield washers?
- Do you think it is worthwhile to replace the driver side washer? (Which would you recommend without going to the dealership?)

It is not end of the world, but i'd like to have a cleaner windshield once a little while

thank you

If the left side windscreen washer and rear washer work the pump is OK. So the issue is a blockage or leak in the right hand side.
The headlight washer has separate pump and pipework.

I had to replace the little one way valve on the bottomed the jet on the drivers side of mine. Not sure what was wrong with it but my guess is that it had stuck in the closed position.

All OK now.

mmm.... interesting.

Does anyone have the pipe routing diagram? I searched google and couldnt find anything decent...

i have noticed an one-way value on the passenger side after the washer jet, is there one on the driver side? If so, i didnt realise there would be one. Now thinking about the T-piece, it makes sense that the pipe would have come from the water bottle to the edge/corner of the bonnet on the driver side, then turned towards the T-piece, then driver side washer jet + passenger side washer jet.

Maybe i should replace the one-way value on the driver side and see if that'd fix the problem? your thoughts?

edit - what is the one-way value called? :-)

okay, i checked under the bonnet again today, there is no other value apart from the t-piece (replaced) on the driver side.

i have ordered one one way valve to replace the one on the passenger side.

should get here by end of the week, will try that and report back...
