Default Removing previous owners information

Hi All.

I hope to be picking up a second hand V40 at the weekend.

It has previously been a company car, so there are a large number of mobile phones paired. Also there will be the previous mileage amount of calculations for the average mph/mph etc.

Is there a way of removing all this, so I effectively start with a clean slate?

Many thanks

Adam.

Yes, you can remove all this information.

The mpg etc. display on the instrument panel can be reset using the left hand indicator stalk. There is also a trip computer which can be displayed in the screen in the centre of the dashboard which can be reset using the controls in the console.

My V40 had a few mobile phones paired and I removed them, from memory I think went into the phone menu and deleted them.

You can do a factory re-set in My Car which should clear phones, music and anything stored in the SatNav.

If remember correctly you were only able to remove a previously paired mobile with a current phone connected. So when I got mine I had to pair my phone first before removing the previous owners.

As Elinginator said, I have just paired a new phone and deleted an old one, no problem. Didn't even have to refer to the handbook.
