Default 1986 244 GLE Auto For Sale (Spares/Repair)

Hi everybody, I'm new on here so hopefully this is the right place to sell my 240!
I have a 1986 244 GLE Auto for sale as spares or repair. I bought the car 2 years ago from it's original owner of 30 years. It's rare being a GLE, so it has the full leather from the GLT, it also has heated front seats, manual sliding sunroof and electric windows/mirrors and central locking. It's silver green metallic which looks great. Please note that it has the 2.3-litre red block with a single carb and a manual choke. The car has covered just under 110k miles and comes with a lot of old MOTs and receipts. The car hasn't had a lot of use in the past few years, but I have enjoyed it when I have had the chance to drive it.
I'm selling as spares or repair as there's a few things needing doing to it. The heater blower has stopped working, there's a slight leak from the gearbox, the rear window switches play up from time to time, the n/s mirror glass is cracked (replacement in car) and it generally needs a good tune-up as it can run a bit strange from time to time. It's solid underneath, with only some surface rust showing on the sill scuff plates. It sailed through it's 2017 MOT without any advisories at all, which is good going for 31 year old car. Currently, the car is SORN and the MOT expired in February, so it would have to be trailered away. It is kept in a garage at the moment, but that storage will soon no longer be available, so ideally I'd like to get it away ASAP. I'd like to keep it, but I also don't have the time to spend on it and it's CERTAINLY too good to scrap. I'm off to the States soon and I don't want the car left sitting outside for months. Recently, it had new rear tyres fitted.

I am looking for about £1000 for the car, but I am open to sensible offers. With the time and expertise, this could be one of the nicest 240s left. It's certainly one of the most original - original suppling dealer plates, dealer sticker and tax disc holder all still on the car; the original service book is still with the car too, leather interior is really good, lovely polished wheel trims (early 740 GL type).

I can supply pictures to anyone that's interested. If you want to see the car, weekends are best as I'm up to my eyes in work. Car is located in North Ayrshire, Scotland.
Thanks for reading, any questions at all, fire away!

Mark.
