Default Passenger Side Drive Shaft Removal and Replacement HELP!!!!

Hi Everyone,

I have made a massive boo boo and accidentaly knocked my half shaft out of the CV joint. Long story short I replaced the engine mounts, lowered the car down, went to pull away and the car didnt move and it munched the CV joint.

The question is:

1) How do I remove it? I have VIDA dont unfortunately it doesnt seem to want to work any more.

2) Where is a good place to buy drive shafts from?

Cheers

Matt

Take out the center axle bolt (read about it on google) and tap first in the center to push back the axle see if it moves easily.

At the transmission I use the spare wheel lug key from the trunk to pry between the CV joint and the transmission to pop it free from the transmission (remove the large engine splash shield if you have it) then the proper route is to undo the two large bolts at the strut (I use a 13/16in imperial socket with a 1/2in ratchet+2-3ft extension bar on the nut side, plus a 18mm wrench to keep the bolt from turning), remove the abs sensor to be safe (10mm bolt then pry up with flat screw driver from underneath) then swing the spindle to free the axle. It passes tight, careful with the plastic seal over the wheel bearing, remember which side it goes back.

You may need a can to rest the spindle on it while it's detached from the strut.

Yes, there is one and it's important not to discard it as many found out refurbished/aftermarket units had the wrong size of this circlip.
