Default Audio options

Hi all,

New here and as like all forums, can't drive the search option so apologies. Want to buy a v60 r design but need to know what my options are with regards to audio. It's the most important part of my car and having worked on my sister's c30, I know it's not easy. Is there a factory option to look out for on 2012-14 v60s that has Bluetooth (for phone and audio), and dab. Or is it possible to do anything to the system to either add it or upgrade completely.

TIA

Have a read https://www.media.volvocars.com/glob...odels/v60/2013

There was an update (I think) in 2014 so check which MY you are looking at if you can get one with sensus as this can be updated and you update satnav etc via USB that’s a fee download

This one has sensus and upgrade audio I think http://www.carbase.co.uk/used/volvo/.../aetv94704287/

You want Premium audio rather than the standard high-performance audio

The 'improved' audio options changed slightly over the years, the most recent being Harman Kardon.
This link to legacy price lists may help.

I wouldn't bother with the Harmon Kardon - it's not much of an upgrade and a significant cost. The door speakers are awful and the one in the driver's door sounds "blown" when anything with a hint of bass is played, with a very cheap rumble and distorted sound while the entire interior of the door rattles in sympathy.

Definitely not going to pay for it again in my next car.

When launched it was standard on all models, then from around 2012 all models except the R-Design (without Navigation) had it. From the 2013 face-lift it was standard on all the range again.

On pre 2013, the only sound options were premium (130w) or standard (40w), most the latter due to the expense. The main differences are navigation models have a larger screen (7 vs 5).

So an r-design with navigation is likely to have Bluetooth. Is it possible to also add a dab module?
