Default XC70 poorly re fitted rear bumper.

Just had a towbar fitted and whilst washing the car noticed that the bumper has been poorly re fitted. Where the bumper meets the rear arches does not now line up and is a little loose as though some clips may have been broken. Any thoughts.

If you're not happy, and it wasn't like that when you gave it to the fitter, take it back.

There is no reason why the bumper shouldn't look like it was never off.

Ive had my rear (XC90) bumper off several times and you would never know, and I'm not a professional tow bar fitter.

You don't mention which type of XC70 you have but the P2 models have channels that the bumper need to engage to ensure it fits snuggly against the bodywork. There are also sliding plastic brackets that are tightened with a Torx bit to fully hold the bumper in place.

Hi, its a 2005 xc70, I've had the towbar people back and they are going to sort it out, the problem with some fitters is they don't look into how the bumpers are fitted prior to doing the job.
