  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Hi Al
I would say undo the 3 nuts holding the turbo on the manifold and spray it in to there, and try and block of the exhaust manifold on the turbo give it 1hour or longer, then move the vnt with a vacuum pump and spray some more and do it again,
use foaming mr M , yours does not sound to bad as it is ok some times

iv stripped my spare turbo and cleaned it, so thats the next job to replace

that's GOOD, it is a pain to change, you have to remove from under the car,

oh christ.... what a utter B@%&a$d that was to remove !

you HAVE to remove the actuator to get it out, and even then you have to FORCE it passed the steering rack to get it out..

anyway, job done and all is well.

Hi I did not have to remove the actuator when I changed mine, I did have to remove the down pipe, good you got it all changed over and all is well,
how long did it take you to change it over,
I took me some time when my turbo failed on my 163, I did not have it on ramps only axel stands, it is a pain to do,

no.. its the howl an old turbo makes when its spooling up.
