Default PV sold at UK auction

Having checked this auction, sounds as if the car sold very cheaply.
Did anyone on here see it?

Probably OK for fun but not very original. Fiberglass wings. Would be OK no doubt for it's purpose or a good donor car .

Cheap?

Wow after auction costs and converting it to euros that would be rather expensive wouldn´t it?

I´m still a bit of a newbie but that seems a bit steep. Note most of the pictures are quite old.

It certainly looked the part, and seemed good underneath, but fibreglass wings were a bit tatty. How do you value modded cars like this though?

Yes, I caught sight of that car for sale too, but rapidly discounted it because it's not my cup of tea at all. Just my way of thinking, I thought a really, really good PV would be up at say £11,000, but for me to put it right in my mind - as in, putting it back to standard - it would cost a good few £££'s. So to me it would be worth about £4,500 - 5,000. But even then, a massive amount of work to make it anywhere near what I would be keen on. So a no for me!

Here in Portugal my 61. 544 sport in top condition is valued at between €15,000 & €17,500 with all the papers. It may be my imagination but they seem to be coming more desirable. A tacky one in need of full resto' between €3500 & €5000
