The car I'm looking looks it great condition one dimple on the body , its black and an se t6 ,
Chap who has it selling as he said it's come to the end of its life with him and not bothering with repair (pinch of salt as people tell stories ) although he does have a new car on his drive .

It drives through the gears if you tickle the throttle , if the press her down hard it revs high (like a slipping clutch ) no clunks or bangs tho , is this the complete gearbox build or possibly another item altogether car has 100k on her full history recent service inc belt and pump

I can pick her up for 1500 still tested etc it's also lpg converted worth a gamble ?

Yeah, sounds like a rebuild is called for. No point going half-in when the 'box has to come out anyway.

Would be worth a punt if you can get it rebuilt for the price quoted in the link earlier.

Would definitely be worth phoning them to find out though, as their small print is very loosely worded.
The fact that the price quoted is dependent on a "serviceable" exchange 'box sounds a little dubious.
Maybe I'm a little cynical though.

I'd offer him £1200 for the car as it stands and see if he bites.

He was wanting 2k , it's been sold twice I've followed it for a while hence the thread , got him down to his minimum , comes with lpg and a t6 pvt plate , history etc etc thought it might be worth it if I can get it all done and bought for the 3k ish 🤔

I'm about to sell my 2005 XC90 2.5T SE Auto. Metallic grey, with Premium Pack, electric sunroof, factory sat nav with maps updated tinted rear windows under 70k miles, FSH all at Volvo except 1. Cambelt changed recently, copy of old service receipts, original purchase invoice old tax discs etc etc. I reckon this must be the best 2.5T in the country!

I'm about to sell my gold t6.

Full certified log conversion with 90l tank.

Everything done to her last year, including a complete and comprehensive gearbox rebuild.
