Default "Door open" warning light on continuously

I have a "door open" warning for NSF door plus amber triangle warning which turns to red on the move. If I flick the latch mechanism to the closed position with a screwdriver with the door open the warnings disappear until I start to move the door towards the closed position. I have already changed the latch/motor central locking but made no difference. Anyone had issues with breaks in the wiring in the door loom or connector. Diagnostic says "communication error to door module, permanent". Window has been a bit tempermental in that door for 3 years but this fault only came up recently and it became more and more difficult to lock up with the alarm going off at random times. Now it won't lock at all so can't use car. (Its a 2011 V70).
