I have considered the SE Nav, but these also seem rare and like leather seats.

Are there any other benefits to Nav-spec that I'm not aware of, aside from Sat Nav and the larger screen?

Thanks in advance!
Personally I'd go for the higher spec and try to get the dealer to do a reduction on the Volvo Garmin kit if you can. It's fully integrated with the car audio system, the holder is mounted on the windscreen pillar with all the wiring hidden and it's voice operated as well. The other advantage is that it comes with free lifetime map updates so no expensive update discs to buy from Volvo.

Ive got a 4 month old V40 R-design Nav... and tbh the sat nav is rubbish.. My old Megane had an inbuilt TomTom.. that was fantastic..

Im constantly driving up and down the country so I wanted a nav inbuilt in my new car.. save the hassle of setting up taking down keeping safe.. not much bet when u do it everyday its just easier..

Now I find my self constantly checking google to double check the route.. Tonight for example google was 20 minutes quicker on my 2 hour journey compared to the quickest route on my Volvo Nav..

But other than that.. I love everything else but wouldn't recommend the nav

Thanks everyone! I've bought an Se Nav D2. Thinking was this:

The Nav model also came with Winter Illumination Pack, Park Pilot Assist, TFT, Elec Seat, had done 10k miles less and was 10% cheaper than the SE Lux. I loved the leather, but that was the only feature it had, apart from a pan sunroof over the SE Nav after the packs were in play. Hopefully I've made the right decision, but I appreciate all the replies!!

So a bit of first hand experience, I have had my car a few days, with Nav and on call and I'm really impressed, the Nav works really well, clear instructions and screen, with lots of settings to tailor it to your liking.

The in built apps work really well also, the is one where you can search for local things such as hotels, restaurants etc it then gives you the option to navigate to or phone, same with the park and pay option

Also the on call works really well with it, I can go in the app on my phone, find the location I want in the search option and send it to my car, when I get in my satnav asks if I want to navigate to it!

Mine does, it lets me know if there are problems ahead and suggests and alternative route that I can either accept or ignore.

Really - I'm new to my Sensus Nav and have not spotted any of that. I used to have Tom Tom 'Live' and really miss those functions. I'm obviously not set up correctly.

Brill Mark, thanks for that.

For the sensus connect, will it switch automatically between wifi (When on the drive) and my phones bluetooth data when on the road?

there is an option to switch the Traffic Management function (TMC) on and off in the nav settings menu. There are also options to select the shortest route, fastest route etc
