with the idle valve closed ( however you do it ) it should still idle at about 600 rpm

yes I did and no petrol coming out why does it run better with the idle control valve disconnected but idles a bit higher

Sounds like the mixture is not only too lean but also that the thottle butterfly has been played with knocking the TPS out of adjustment among other things.

Difficult to say without testing everything involved in the idle circuit.

I don't know where to go with it now I have only ever cleaned the throttle body I have never fiddle with the tps I whish you lived on the isle of Wight lol

Only been to the IoW twice, both times for work and both times lost a brand new pair of pliers at £30 a pop, wasn't happy!

What are your technical skills like? Do you own a multimeter, feeler gauges and know how to use them?

Also have you cleaned the PCV system including the manifold vacuum stub?

yeah I am good working on engines I have cleared the pcv what is the manifold vacuum stub not heard of it I am good with a multimeter

The inlet manifold vacuum stub is part of the PCV system as is the oil filler cap, the flame trap and a couple of other bits.

I'll put together a few tests and write them up for you (hopefully) tomorrow and you can go through them.
