VOV National rally and BKV 2014
I feel I must reply to some of the criticism regarding the advertising and promotion of the Clubs National Rally and BKV.
This event is advertised in all issues of Driver. Which goes out Bi-monthly. It is also in the calendar of events section of this forum and is updated as and when more information becomes available. There is also a post directing users to the calendar of events. All you need to do is open up the calendar and look through month to month. Whilst I appreciate newer members would not be aware it is worth mentioning that the National Rally takes place in June the Southern BKB in May and the Northern at the end of July beginning of August. I am trying to get the calendar existence of calendar the more prominently advertised. In 2010 I suggested we use the calendar to advertise events rather than just list members birthdays as it did at that time. I maintain the calendar and update it regularly with club events and section meetings. I also include details of other events that may be of interest to members as long as they do not unduly conflict with club events, i.e. Swedish day on 11th May this year. As has been previously written if you wish to arrange an event and advertise it in the calendar, you can always contact me on 02392 615081 or e-mail nigel.ayling@ntlworld.com These are the preferable ways of contacting me. For me the benefit of having events in the calendar is that unlike in the events section they do not drop down the list. On the day of the BKV the club has its own area for the event. You are asked for your membership card as obviously only club members are eligible to have their car judged, however we are keen that even non members turning up as guests with a Volvo do park alongside the members cars within the arena. All club officials are aware of that fact. As a club member you are able to caravan/camp from Thursday 26 through til Monday 30 June. I will be onsite every day. Nigel Ayling |

Do you have to pay for camping in advance or when you get there? I am looking forward the weekend.

Looks like my heap is probably going to be repairable following on from this and if so, and it is sorted in time, I hope to make it along. That is of course provided that there isn't a massive delay caused by an almighty argument with the insurers over the pre-accident value...

I had to go to Calendar (which I assumed was just a ...calendar) then find northern BKV, then click on the link to find the info. I still don't know what BKV stands for. Why make it hard? This info should be slap bang on the front of this sticky thread. Here is the relevant info ; Quote:
