What a lovely car! Im guessing you want mega bucks for it though?

Shame really, I could see this being a ideal base for some serious sleeper power.

GLWTS!

Yep Volvo do a good scrapage scheme as all mid to high end dealers do, Volvo also give a good discount to VOC members if you are not a VOC member MRG do very favrouble discount to all Volvo forums. I think you could have done a better deal with the S60 T5 than the one you went for and your pristine car may have gone to someone who would have cherished it.

I hope you enjoy your new car and it lasts as long as the 740

This doesn't appear to be showing up on DVLA, you didn't scrappage it did you?

Sunroof, rear sunblind, and everything works. Virtually no wear and tear to be seen (even the handbooks etc are like new). Mechanically excellent with no problems - always run on full-synth since new. This car also has the rare factory-fitted Turbo Plus kit which uprates to 190 Bhp and LSD. VOC S/S exhaust, Det Tow bar. New MOT

Minus points - FM tuner crackles, headlining starting to sag at rear.

Sadly its got to go, is anyone interested?

The level of selfishness, greed and superficiality on display here (regarding the scrappage) is almost beyond belief - and only 'almost' as we've experienced this a number of times already!

You could drive that 740 for a life-time and again and not cause as much environmental damage as it takes to manufacture a modern car.

Default the scrappage / crappage scheme

All round the world there are loads of car clubs that have been sooo frustrated with the government's crappage. whoops, scrappage schemes.

USA and most of Europe have run one and as has been said many times before, the biggest damage to the environment occurs when a car is made, not driven.

I'd bet that many of those cars purchased under scrappage in '09 and '10 will be going to the scrapyards well before the majority of the Volvo's owned on here.

i have to agree. we will all still have our cars when new ones look like spaceships. i bet theres very few cars we are classing as modern now. remember, a new car is given a life expectancy of 5 years.. our 700's were given 20!
