currently running this kit on my 850 T-5R and its a credit to 'Avinitlarge' and all involved. Knock is pretty much a thing of the past as a result, let alone far better dwell times.
worth it. all day every day. Dunc

hmm, interesting.
do you notice any improvement in fuel economy? I run water to try and avoid knock. I think mine has a 4.3 ecu.

cant say ive ever checked, but its not really an important factor in my eyes being its my weekend/play car.
Doubt itll have any gains in that area, just makes each bang a more complete burn ergo more power out of the same cc of injected fuel.

not sure you can have a more complete burn. you might if the ecu was mapped be able to advance the timing thus getting more power from the fuel before knock occurs.
I'm not sure what the advance limit is on a stock map, I would guess there is one in case of a knock sensor failing.

you will get a better burn as the spark is stronger, and also because the coil is far far closer to the plug itself. Thats why you get stronger pull and more stable idle. you also remove the latency thats built in to the rotor arm/cap setup, which is about 0.5° of advance. This is the main reason for knock/pre det under high load on the single coil setup twinned with the lack of dwell time.
thankfully mine is far from stock so im not bound by OE limitations
