Default 850R mystery connector help please

Hi, Just replaced the PCV canister and hoses on my 850R and have a mystery 3 pin connector on a lead left over.

It comes out from underneath the drivers side RHS headlight and heads down next to the RHS of the radiator and looks like it wants to plug into something underneath the inlet manifold.

It is not the idle stabilisation connector as that is already plugged in.

Anyone with an 850R 1995 that could tell me where it goes much appreatiated

thanks Ben

put up a photo of the offender. sounds like an unplugged headlight wiper motor. is it a brown plug or black? unless youve unplugged something like the TPS in your recent work.

Hi, Its not to do with the headlight that loom that comes out and splits into three to feed the headlight motors etc is all plugged in. The loom is to short to reach across to the TPS though teh connector looks teh same. The TPS is all plugged in. I will try an put a picture up cheers Ben

yes sorry it is not the Idle stabilisation as it wont reach across that far from RHS to LHS of engine compartment and that is plugged in any way. It looks like it wants to plug into something near the AC compressor, starter motor, under inlet manifold that sort of area.

plug for the knock sensors. earlier cars had an individual feed to each with their own plug, but yours and later cars put 2 on a small seperate loom. plugs in near the front engine mount, just slightly drivers side of centre, ontop of the big main loom run.

Top Man, thanks a bunch. I thought it might be the knock sensor but it had a loom on it already and only two wires. But if they join two together and share a common line that makes 3 great.

good call on that connector as it was the right colour, right place, right size ...

Sadly it was already plugged in :-(

Any other options ?

If anyone has an 850 R it is the loom that comes out from under the drivers side headlight and then drops down the side of the radiator it is not the one that splits into 3 and feeds the headlamp bits

Is the pressure sensor for the A/C connected? Is behind the headlight on the A/C pipe.
