Default VOC needs service and no more internet after update

I got my first annual inspection with the accompanying software update.
Since then I got the daily message there is an error in Volvo on Call and service is needed. Also the car won't connect tot the internet any longer. I got the crossed globe icon all the time. Somebody else got the same troubles?

Can you connect to the internet through WiFi? e.g. home, work or public one, or a WiFi hotspot enabled on your phone.

That won't of course solve the problem of course, but would help in identifying the cause. If you can't connect via WiFi, then it points towards a general issue with connectivity. If you can, it points more like an issue with the modem.

Mine is booked in for the latest s/w update next Friday. But from the comments by those who have had it done dose not fill me with confidence.

Go into the car settings-system-privacy and data in centre screen and enable data sharing,

Latest wk46 has some data protect garbage and needs a box ticking for it to be able to work and it affects on call, sensus apps, real time traffic and speech app

Internet problem solved itself, must have been a bad day. On Call error still there. Got is several times a day. Sometimes not, sometimes it does.
But on Call works.
