Talking 2017 Xc90 mileage correction

Hi, fairly new to this. And the volvo brand in general. Does anyone here know of anyone who can do mileage correction on a 2017 Volvo xc90 D5 R design?

Cheers

Are you for real?

Anyway, yes it is possible. You see the thing is with this generation of XC90, they are actually pretty low tech. They don't have any sophisticated onboard computers, or diagnostics that the dealer can plug into and detect error codes caused by clocking.

They are so low tech in fact that they are easy to 'millage correct'. Simply jack the car up onto stands, or blocks if you don't have. Start the car, engage reverse and stick a couple of heavy bricks on the throttle pedal. The engine will scream for a few hours and the wheels spin, all the time the analogue millage gage in the instrument cluster will be dropping. Tip: be careful not to leave the vehicle too long and go back past zero into negative millage, as dealers get really suspicious of this. And of course, don't knock the vehicle of its blocks, that would go horribly wrong.

Hope this helps. The only trouble is, I really feel for anyone who takes a used car that's be clocked by a crook like you.

Get in touch with the trading standards agency, give them your name address and business address and business name, I am sure they will be happy to help.

Good question.
But perhaps he doesn't want to do it at all, but only wants to know if it can be done.
Not a strange thing to ask if you are in the market for a secondhand car.

Not a strange thing to ask if you are in the market for a secondhand car.
But he was asking if anyone knows of "anyone" who "can" do it not "if" it can be done.
