Default Budget B230 tubular manifolds

Just putting a feeler out on this (remove if not allowed mods), I'm looking at doing a batch of budget mild steel exhaust manifolds, I'll be making them with my HY35 in mind so plenty of room for a variety of blowers. I can put whatever flange you like on and even have the option of an external wastegates.

I'll be looking at around £200.

Would there be any interest in these?

Ben.

Yup, probably later on in the year or early next year.

Interested, with a similar time scale to Chooch.

Marvellous, what I might do is make a small batch of 5 for a start and see how they do.

Thanks for the response.

I'll definitely take one, I've got the TD05 flange here so I could send it to you to make one up. I need it as far forward as possible to clear the 240 strut tower.

Default B234? B6304?

What about for a B234F+T and/or a B6304 (although there is a member who is exploring mods to use a Beemer manifold for the 6-pot?

Oh, and what about a substitute for the DO88 radiator (it was intended for racing 940s but would also fit 960s that did not utilise the atf cooler in the Volvo rad)? It's allegedly off the market for redesign because of a clearance problem between the rad and the intercooler - but obviously for my 960 that would not be a problem as I have no intercooler!

Shouldn't be an issue, I'll need you to take some measurements from the strut tower to the head to see how much narrower it is.

I'm afraid without a car here to work from it'd be very difficult to make manifolds for either.
I know of people running the stock radiator with big 5.0+ V8's in rather hot climates, they're very efficient as standard! Any reason you're changing?

Default Cooling

As soon as I try to drag my little caravan up a motorway hill at only a little bit over 60 (or even at 60) the temperature gauge on my 960 is headed for the red. So I have to slow down - which I hate. I have already had thermostat, flush, reverse flush, new rad (!). Pretty much no change. I have isolated the internal atf cooler and put a huge Mishimoto one in so it's not heat soak from the autobox.

But I think I have found a source for the DO88 rad so that's next (at vast expense).
