I saw these flaps some time ago but seemingly they would not fit a V90. They look almost identical. The £53 ones have a 4th mounting hole on the rear flaps. Was going to fit mine today but it's raining. I'll give them a try (without using the 4th mounting as that means making a hole in the lining). I suspect that with my hearing I won't notice additional road noise, if any.

Noise may not be a problem on the V90, I hope not, I have an XC90.

Is the noise generated by these mudflaps, surely they would induce no more noise than the Volvo mudflaps.....or would they?

I have not tried the Volvo ones, but I should imagine that on the XC90 where there is already an issue with road noise it may well be increased with any flaps, I can only say for sure that the flaps I have do increase the road noise significantly.
The front of the flaps are in effect acting like air scoops they are a bit like shovels in shape.

That's odd, must be a factor that only affects XC90 as the road noise from my V90 hasn't changed since I fitted front and rear mudflaps.

I've just done a return trip to Liverpool and back today, all motorway, and I've deliberately listened for any noise with windows open and closed, nothing!

The V90 certainly keeps a bit cleaner up the sides, along the sills and on the tailgate since I fitted the flaps so I'm more than happy with my purchase from China!

Well, I've just come in from fitting my Chinese mudflaps to my V90. Only had a quick spin around but I couldn't hear any additional noise. The real test will be in a couple of days when I'll do a 150 motorway journey.

Fitting took under an hour and that was with dodgy knees. Following nu11eaf's comments I didn't fit the 4th screw on the rear flaps as that would have meant making a hole in the arch liner. I'll retrofit them if I leave the flaps on but to be honest they're perfectly secure without it.

Glad to hear there are no noise issues with the V90, when I fitted mine to the XC90 I noticed that the inner wheel arch plastic covers are very hollow behind them and almost like drums when tapped, I think this causes resonance and it must transmit a lot of noise from the buffeting of the extra wind from the flaps.
I think I will try putting some sound deadening behind the inner wheel arch covers.

This may help the overall road noise which has always been a problem to me since I got the car and amplified with the mudflaps.

I didn't notice an increase in noise after the mudflaps (genuine Volvo) were fitted. I was however surprised at how much noise the liners make when tapped and, like you, was thinking of taking them off and applying some sound deadening material on the back of them. That can wait until the spring now.

Are your genuine volvo mudflaps the same as in my photos of my none genuine ones from the front with the deep shovel like scoops and hollow section. I know mine look identical from the back view.
