Default Winter tyres fitted

Same as last winter, they are noticeably quieter and smoother than the standard summer tyres. On paper these winter Continentals are 1dB noisier (okay, that's probably nothing) but I guess the higher sidewall and lower ambient temperatures account for the difference.

Bring on the snow...

Swapped mine Tuesday last week. As Lexman8 noted quieter than the summer tyres.

Beware - winter tyres work best at temps be lower than 7°C. Above this they're less effective than Summer tyres.

Our XC90 wears Dunlop Winter Sport 4 tyres. I found them 2nd hand on 10 spoke 19" turbine wheels.
They weren't my favorite choice, but they get/got good reviews.
Our Japanese Mercedes wears Continental Winter Contact TS860P rubbers.
