Default Pilot Assist calibration

My MY17 V90 goes into the local dealer next week for the Inflation Curtain recall. I was thinking of asking them to look at the Pilot Assist. Without doubt it 'favours' the left hand side of a motorway lane. I find this a little disconcerting especially when passing HGVs. Does anyone else find the same and does anyone know if it can be tweaked?

I believe it can be calibrated but it may look like it is too far to the left from the drivers seat when in fact it is in the middle of the lane, if you are in the passenger seat it will look a bit more to the right of the lane, but as most of us that have commented on this agree we tend to drive further to the right so it does feel too close to the near side.

I had the same problem, the car was definitely running left of centre of the lane we were in, this was quite disconcerting when on a motorway - I could sense anyone in the passenger seat tense as we went past an HGV.

I had mine recalibrated and it's now fine.

In talking to the technician he said they had recalibrated others and we discussed whether the car might have been set up for LHD, where you would want it running closer to the left of the lane.

Hi Parvez78,

Yes I mentioned it to my service manager and booked for the car to go in, I think there may have been other work to do at the same time but can't remember.

Interesting comments.......

When mine went in for the 3 month check (back in June/July), I asked about this, and the dealer told me they hadn't heard of it being done, and there was no way they could change it.
