Diesel Particle Filter
Car was very sluggish and told by local garage that the DPF was causing the problem and to run car at 3000 rpm for about 30min.
Did this for about 50min having to keep in 2nd gear and car still very sluggish. Left it overnight and fine next day (Sunday). Car next used on Tuesday on short 2 mile round trip and ok. Wednesday very sluggish and barely getting over 30pmh. Would be grateful for any comments. Just hope a new DPF is not required. I am also getting continuous message 'ENGINE SYSTEM SERVICE REQUIRED'. Had a full service by local garage 3 weeks ago Johnny G Last edited by Johnny G; Nov 22nd, 2017 at 14:34. |

This section is for x70 up to 1999, no DPFs on these, you don't say what model or year your car is, but you do need a different forum section!

What Luxo says....wrong section..........
My bet though would be your local garage has over filled the oil.....does not want to be at max on dip stick...just 3/4.......check out the threads in the right section and also put your car details in your signature
