Default D5 Engine Noise In Cabin / Vibration

Hi

Well I've been experiencing some vibration noise in the cabin since I've had my V70 D5.

The worst vibration was traced to the pipe standoff for the hard lines against the bulkhead, now sorted.

Next was the engine cover, one of the rubber fixings wasn't located properly.

However I still have a bit of vibration. It seems present all of the time and feels like it would be something like an engine cover vibrating. Its quite subtle but I'm sure its not quite right.

Are there any covers or panels etc in the engine bay that are known to cause a resonance?

The engine runs very sweetly indeed and the DMF and clutch was recently replaced at Volvo, so I think we can rule those out

Ideas on a postcard... Thanks!

Hi where the engine top cross bar is has some one changed the mounts for the bar to solid or fitted a polybush kit, washer and thin poly to the bottom of the mounts, also there is a torque mount to the gear box to the car ,subframe
the mount is under the car at the front left, undo the mount to test the bushes,
Dave

Hi, thanks for replying.

Nope, its completely standard in that regard and lots of slop in the crossbar bushes and no evidence of washers or poly anywhere.

The car has only ever been serviced at the same Volvo dealer so I don't think any mods are present.

I have all 5 engine mounts on order (Corteco brand who I believe make the Volvo parts), so I'm hoping they sort the noise, but I have a niggling doubt its something else.

when was the clutch done.
Did they put the rubber seal back in place down at the bottom of the steering column inside the car .
You can get these noises if that has not been put back

The top mount on the crossbar/brace thing definitely contributes to vibration, recently replaced my (06 D5 eur4) very worn one with a new volvo part, and could feel an increase in vibration particularly when cold at idle, im also on the hunt for a vibration that comes thru the steering wheel at mid revs (1750rpm ish to be precise) when engine under load, thought it might be something in the airbag assy but so far its remained ellusive! do you think if you remove the airbag/unplug it to see if the noise goes away, it would cause any problems with error codes? im guessing not but just wondered incase someone on here has tried it/..

Might be worth looking down near the turbo for exhaust bracketry that wasn't put back right.
Likely it's something that was disturbed during the clutch job.
