Stalling forward but not in reverse
V40 D3 2013
Bit of an odd one this!? Just had timing belt changed along with rear brake discs and pads, front coil spring and annual oil and filter change. Had no problems for around a week until during an energetic acceleration the car started stuttering. Got home but now the car will not pull away - when letting the clutch out the engine simply cuts. Initial thoughts was a fuel delivery problem or clutch until I discovered that the car drives perfectly fine in reverse?! Plenty of power too - handbrake on and the engine will pull away in reverse against the brake. Engine revs normally, sounds very smooth, no abnormal sound or vibrations. Checked under the bonnet for loose plugs in and around the timing belt area, other than the cover not being replaced correctly everything looks fine as far as I can see. Any suggestions welcome - hoping somebody may have experienced this one before? |
