Default Headlight glass (plastic) issues

Hi all,

Car passed the MOT (137k miles) but there is a warning re the headlights. The plastic front (see through piece) is badly bubbled and crackled if that makes sense, crackled is how I would describe it, like crackled glass would look.

I am not sure a sand back and polish will work, so I want to know if its possible to buy the plastic cover part, rather than the entire light. They are not halogen, I think they are xenon, or the projection type.

Is it possible to simply replace that plastic piece they shine through, god I sound stupid not knowing what its called, its not glass :-)

I've been looking at new and 2nd hand options for whole units:
- There's the breaker option
- There are new options from various places including from Lithuania but not clear if they're LHD or RHD...and apparently some come "without motor".

Silly questions:
- Is it difficult to remove motors from current units and fit them to new units?
- Is there a "set up" needed for units that come "with motor"...or is it hassle-free "plug and play"?

Rgds to all

I thought I'd take a punt, AliExpress had both left and right headlights for my exact model car for less than£60 and they arrived today, they look perfect but I'm be attempting to fit them tomorrow so will let you know if they work, was cheaper than anything I find elsewhere

A lot of the cars that end up in Lithuania are actually UK cars bought on copart, so just ask the seller whether they are LHD or RHD, I have managed to source quite a few RHD parts in Lithuania successfully
