Very true - I'm buying a secondhand car because a new one doesn't make financial sense to me, I've had quotes from dealers for the parking sensors ranging from £600 - £700 inc VAT.

One has told me that it takes almost three hours to fit the sensors.

Given that the parts seem to be available online for about £240 inc VAT and that trade price must be less than £240 then labour seems to be about £400.

It might be cheaper to club together and pay a decent mechanic between us!!

You forget the software that isn't included within the online bits and contrary to common belief software costs a lot of money - it ain't free

I've always had front sensors and they didn't cost a penny - they're called eyes

You've also got legs with feet on the bottom which didn't cost a penny that you could use to walk but you still choose to use the car

Ha-Ha, touché...HOWEVER, as good as my legs are, they are not going to be take me for the miles I do in my car...on the other hand my eyes can easily see six feet in front of my nose...the day they can't is the day I'll be giving up driving...

Perhaps a better example.

You have arms so why use indicators when hand signals could suffice.

Now you're being pedantic...I was merely being short-sighted...
