T4 tinny sounding engine note
I have an S40 T4 which I love but the general engine note is fairly tinny sounding, especially at high revs - anyone have ideas how to improve this?
Sports exhaust would improve sound at the back end but not the engine. Enigma |

Hi Enigma, try an cone filter but this might not necessarily give you improved performance.
A pipercross should make it more throaty. Speak to Don at www.kalmar-union.com Roy The T4 is quietly quick. An exhaust would be a good option to go for especially if you get a air filter. |

Not done it on a T4, but I have fitted PiperX air filters, and yup it does make the sound more throaty!
Plus you would be amazed at how much the exhaust will also improve the front as well... (Again, not done it to a Volvo, but have played with sports (not boy racer) exhausts. Stu |
