Welcome to the club :)

What year is your T5? Is it a 'classic' style, or the newish P2 version?

What are you after? More power, better handling, better braking, more luxury??

By the way...choose one of those, £500 and a new Volvo doesn't do too much :)

Hi Dude!

Welcome to the club :)

Check out www.t5r.org for some ideas for mods and suppliers links.

Also, why not come along to a section meeting to see what some of the other owners have done to make their volvos go faster.... ;)

Phil :)

Your only safe & sensible option really on a '99+ model fitted with the ME7 management system is to go for an ECU upgrade & sports exhaust from the catalytic convertor to the back.

You need a decent upgrade with the newer models, I would definately recommend against 'chip soldering' on these ECUs - go with someone like RICA or TME who are able to upload new software onto the ECU.

Funnily enough, Noridc (www.nordic-car.com) who are the club's parts supplier, are now to start carrying the TME line of products!

To be honest, you will have to spend nearer to £1000 to get this upgrade, if that's too much I would probably just spend the money keeping the car in tip-top condition. Just my opinion of course, I'm sure others will have other things to say..

Default RE: Extras...performance parts.

Just have a look on my website www.kalmar-union.com

I keep the largest stock of performance parts for late model Volvos in the UK. Most sourced withing the UK, but otherwise directly from the Swedish suppliers of the leading Scandinavian tuners.... cutting out the middlemen.

I have just bought my fifth T5 and have gained much personal experience and knowledge of other peoples adventures in modifying these cars.

You can phone me at work or my mobile no. is 07973 428954,

Regards, Don.Norchi.
